Our annual Open House is a great opportunity for students of all ages and their parents to learn more about Greene County Career Center programs and services. See the new facility and meet with teachers and counselors. Gather info on college scholarships, free college credits and job placement. On Dec. 16. we celebrated the retirement of long-time adult criminal justice Commander Mike Hild, Sr. Commander Hild has led the peace officer basic training and corrections academies plus facilitated hundreds of training sessions for law enforcement professionals for the last 14 years. Literally hundreds of officers in the region are serving their communities thanks to his leadership. Acting Greene County Sheriff Scott Anger made a special presentation to Commander Hild and the event was facilitated by Major Kirk Keller. The event was attended by law enforcement leaders from Greene County, former colleagues, graduates and GCCC staff.
