This Friday is a dress down day. Please pay $ 1.00 to your first period teacher if you choose to participate. As always, remember: NO HOLES/NO HOODIES and NO SWEATPANTS of any kind ( unless you are sports and exercise)
Skills USA Contest time, if any student in a Skills USA lab is interested in competition at the state level please come see Mr. Puckett. Competitions available, Entrepreneurship, Facilithon, OSHA Single or Multiple, Quiz Bowl, Skills Tank, you know like Shark tank. For lab specific please see your Skills USA lab instructor to see if there are any straight to state contest. Again, if you are interested in and competition at the state level for Skills USA please come see Mr. Puckett.
The supply room will be closed the week of April 3-7. If you need to purchase a parking pass, a new student ID, or uniform pieces, you should do so March 14-24, before spring break. If not able to visit the supply room before spring break, you must wait until after April 10 to make these purchases. If you need to pay off student fees or add money to your lunch account, you can do so at the board office window near the front of the building, across from the main office.
Between now and Spring Break, the PBIS Committee will be rewarding students that are wearing their uniform appropriately. Students not receiving write-ups for hats and hoodies will have a chance to win gift cards in random drawings.
Students: Please be aware if you borrow a uniform AFTER 1ST PERIOD you will receive a detention.
Remember: If you need to borrow a uniform, please do so BEFORE the end of first period.
Students and staff, the Fish Food Pantry here in Xenia is looking for plastic lids of any size and cardboard boxes to assist with passing out food for the community. If you have any plastic lids or cardboard boxes, please donate them in the cafeteria between the microwaves or in the hallway by the loading dock.
Seniors please check your GCCC email daily and make sure your inbox is not full. There will be scholarship and other important information that will be emailed to you between now and graduation.
With prom season approaching, the time to buy your tickets has arrived. Come see us at lunch starting March 1 to buy your tickets to the 2023 “Garden Under the Stars Prom” on May 13 from 7:30-11:00. Entrance to the night of fun is $15.00 per person.
Clean Sweep!
The expectation is that students are on time every day to every class!
If you are late for a class (other than first period) you must report to one of the following locations to get a “clean sweep pass”
• Academics will report to Mrs. Taylor (2511)
• High Bay labs will report to Mr. Downing
• Other labs and Credit Recovery will report to ISD.
Students who are participating in a sport or a club at their homeschool are permitted to wear the t-shirt or jersey to school on Fridays. This t-shirt or jersey MUST signify the sport or club. All dress code rules still apply. For example: if your lab requires scrubs or khakis then you must still wear them with your homeschool shirt or jersey.
Reminder to all students: In order to take medication at GCCC, you have to have a doctor’s form on file AND supply the nurse with the medicine. This includes over the counter meds such as Tylenol and Advil. No medications can be given out without the form and the medication.
Students are not permitted to wear shorts/ hoodies/leggings or sweatpants/ joggers/ track pants (except exercise science) or jeans with holes in them!

Any STUDENT not in proper 2022-2-23 GCCC uniform must report to room 2317 to borrow a uniform.
Beavercreek Students:
Competitive esports has officially started. We are still looking for substitute players for Fortnite, Valorant, Overwatch, Rocket League and League of Legends. If you play any of these games and want to possible compete see Mrs. Stamper in 2055 or Mrs. Kovar in 2056. There will be open sport days if you just want to come in and play as well as come cheer in on teams. Weekly schedules will be posted in our new " Esports DAM" located in the library. Come check us out!
Auditions for Friends Show Choir will be on April 4,5,6. Sign up for an audition time on the Friends website under the "Audition" tab. If you like to sing and perform, consider trying out for our hard-working, award-winning group!
There are a few spots left to join the trip to France and Spain this June. There will be a small late fee for joining now plus full payment would be needed when you register. Contact Mrs. McGriff for the info to share with your parents. If you plan to join and do not have a passport yet, it needs to be taken care of immediately and expedited to ensure getting it quickly. Time is of the essence, so do not delay speaking to your parent/guardian about joining us!
Football conditioning will take place every week Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:10pm-4:30pm. Anyone interested in playing football should contact Coach Colvin with questions
Beavercreek Seniors: Please stop by the GCCC guidance office to check the spelling of your name for your official diploma.
Are you interested in playing Super Smash Bros. with other students? Smash Club meets every Thursday after school in Mrs. Nartker's room until 4:30. Be sure to bring your own controller.
Interested in computer programming? Come be part of the programming club! We have members who have never programmed before on up to people with a lot of experience, but everyone is here to help and have fun. Come join us! We meet Tuesdays right after school in room 1010, Mr. Magill’s classroom.

Bellbrook Students:
Any Bellbrook student that would like to go to the Talent Show on Friday March 24th, there will be a bus here to pick you up at 1:35 to bring you to the high school. This will be the only bus for the day. If you want to stay at the GCCC, and not go to the show, please make sure you have other transportation to take you home on Friday.
Please check in at the main office when you get to the high school before you go to the Talent Show. Donations are being accepted and all proceeds will go to "Sunlight Village Mental Health Center".
Bellbrook students need to check their Google Class of 2023 and Google Class of 2024 email everyday. There will be many announcements posted there throughout the year.
Cedarville:
Senior Trip: All seniors who are planning on going on the most fun senior trip ever, need to bring in their paperwork and money to Mrs. Hendrickson or Mrs. Morrow by this Friday, March 24th. Don't be left out of the pictures, fun and the last blast with your friends!
Cedarville seniors can pick up their graduation announcements and caps & gowns at Cedarville High School in the afternoon.

The Fairborn Football Program is looking for someone who can create digital imaging and artwork for social media. This is not a paid position, but you will get good Fairborn Football gear and you would earn a Varsity letter. This person would work with Coach Cox and Coach Mohr and help create a bigger, better social media presence and help promote our football program. Greeneview’s Spring Musical “Freaky Friday” is this Friday and Saturday, March 24th and 25th at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors.
The Kavanagh Wildlife Farm is offering scholarships of $5,000 to graduating seniors! The applicants must live in Greene or Clark County. Preferences are Agriculture and National
Resource Majors but not required. Application deadline is April 15th. Applications are available in your Greeneview email.
Attention Seniors: Southern State is once again offering its Super Start Scholarship. Seniors with at least a 2.75 GPA can take up to six hours of college credit this summer for free. These credits can then be transferred to the college of your choice. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.

The Jamestown Library is also offering free tutoring for any subject to students in grades K through 12. For those that don't know, Thundertuff is similar to Powderpuff where the girls play football and the guys coach, but Thundertuff is where the guys play volleyball and the girls coach.
