This Friday is a dress down day! Pay $1.00 to your first period teacher if you choose to participate. Please remember no holes/ no hoodies/ no sweatpants and no leggings!
All library books and textbooks signed out through the media center are now DUE! Please return items to avoid being charged for materials.
If you have any questions stop in the media center.
Reminder that food and beverages (excluding plain water) are not permitted outside the cafeteria, unless preapproved by an administrator. In addition, no outside lunch orders, other than packed lunches, are permitted in the cafeteria. If you are entering the building with these items, you will be asked to dispose of them upon arrival.
GCCC ¼ zips are now for sale in the supply room. These are for sale for $30 each, and once paid for, there are no exchanges, no returns, and no refunds. There is a limited amount of each size, so get yours before they are gone.
The Greene county Public Library is offering free tutoring for students at all of their locations. Flyers are available in the front office and in the media center. For more information, you can also visit GreeneLibrary.info.
The expectation is that students are on time every day to every class!
If you are late for a class (other than first period) you must report to one of the following locations to get a “clean sweep pass”
• Academics will report to Mrs. Taylor (2511)
• High Bay labs will report to Mr. Downing
• Other labs and Credit Recovery will report to ISD.
Students who are participating in a sport or a club at their homeschool are permitted to wear the t-shirt or jersey to school on Fridays. This t-shirt or jersey MUST signify the sport or club. All dress code rules still apply. For example: if your lab requires scrubs or khakis then you must still wear them with your homeschool shirt or jersey.
Reminder to all students: In order to take medication at GCCC, you have to have a doctor’s form on file AND supply the nurse with the medicine. This includes over the counter meds such as Tylenol and Advil. No medications can be given out without the form and the medication.
Students are not permitted to wear shorts/ hoodies/leggings or sweatpants/ joggers/ track pants (except exercise science) or jeans with holes in them!
First period teachers please check for uniforms AND IDs!
Any student who does not have their GCCC ID or not in proper 2021-2022 GCCC uniform must report to room 2317 to borrow a uniform/ get a temporary ID.
The athletic department has moved to all electronic purchases for the 2021-2022 season. We will be 100% digital this season for all ticketing at all high school athletic events, we will not be selling any tickets at the gate. Please make sure to purchase tickets prior to your arrival for the game at spicket.events/Beavercreek.
Please make sure that all of your academic responsibilities are fulfilled. Make good choices and finish strong.

If you are interested in playing tennis is the fall, sign up in the office.
There will be a year-end football meeting Tuesday, May 17, at 6:30 p.m. in the FHS Auditorium for those in grades 7 through 12 who are interested in playing football next year. There will be a guest speaker and break-out sessions for high school and junior high meetings. This meeting will allow the sharing of important summer dates and have our players better prepared for the ‘22-’23 season.
You can still purchase a ‘21-’22 Fairborn High School yearbook. You have until Friday, May 27, to place your order. The yearbooks will be delivered to the school in September. You can go to www.yearbookforever.com
to place your order, or pick up an order form in Room 111 to purchase one. The price is $75.00. If you wait until they come in next year to purchase one, there may not be enough extras and the price will be $85.00. Hurry, don't miss out on the memories of this school year.
Girls basketball open gyms will be on Mondays and Wednesdays at Baker from 5:00 to 6:30 pm through May 25. There will also be a parent meeting following the open gym event at 6:30 pm on May 25. See you there.

Senior Awards Program is May 17th at 7:30am. Following the Awards Program is the Senior Lunch.
Graduation rehearsal is May 20th at 9am at the Dixon Ministry Center on Cedarville University’s campus. Graduation is Friday, May 20th at 7pm, Seniors need to report at 6pm.
Every Senior has a Senior fee, including career center and CCP students. All students need to check to make sure that all fees are paid. If you are unsure if fees are owed, check with the Main Office.
Wrestling open mats are at the field house on Wednesday from 6:30-7:30pm. All boys and girls grade 7-12 are welcome.
Any girls interested in playing volleyball in the fall, weight lifting is every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 at the high school.
Football weightlifting will be every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:45pm - 4:15pm.
All Seniors! For those of you who are applying to colleges via the Common App: You need to invite your counselor through Naviance and NOT through Common App. You will also request Teacher Recommendations through Naviance and not through Common App.The only thing you will do on the "FERPA and Recommender" tab of Common App is to waive or not waive your right to review your recommender letters.
Remember, if you are applying directly to the school (using the app on their web page and not Common App), you just go into Naviance and add the school AND request the transcript.
Attention XHS/GCCC students that applied for the Xenia High School Student Summer Internship Opportunity, please check the email account that you used to submit your application. Information has been sent to your email account regarding your application.
If you are interested in being a part of the 2022 Xenia Marching Buccaneers please visit the band room to pick up your registration packet or to speak with Mr. Lewis about joining. This also includes anyone interested in being a part of fall color guard for both returning members and new members.
Xenia High School Student Internship
The Xenia High School Internship Program is an eight (8) week summer program that provides high school students (2021-22 Grades 11 & 12 students only) with valuable work experience in the public sector. The program provides an opportunity for students to explore future career possibilities as well as gain real-work experience. These are temporary positions that will expire upon the completion of the 8 week program.
Salary: $13.00 an hour/ up to 29 hours per week depending on the area of internship
Start Date: June 6th End Date: July 29th
Internship Areas Include:
• Information Technology
• Curriculum (K-5 Summer School, the Book Bus, and other activities)
• Custodial Services
• Food Services/Hospitality
• Maintenance Operations
• Clerical/Human Services
