Peace Officer Basic Training

The next academy begins September 20, 2021.
 

The Peace Officer Basic Training 845-hour program provides the training for an individual to to take the OPOTA certification test to become a Commissioned Peace Officer and meets the requirements of the Ohio Revised Code Section 109.77 for Peace Officer Certification.
Academy schedule:  September 20th   2021   – March 17th     2022
                                 December 6th     2021   – June 7th        2022

  
 
Classes meet Monday - Friday 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Tuition: $5796    Student Fee: $598 (included)
Financial Aid available to those who qualify go to Financial Aid page

First Line Supervision and Corrections Academy are non-vocational and are not included within the institutional scope  of ACCSC's accreditation.  Corrections Academy classes are approved by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission.

  • Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST)
  • WMD First Responder (Incl: 100 & 700a NIMS)
  • Active Shooter
