A group of five seniors from the Power Equpment Mechanics program have earned certifications through the Equipment and Engine Training Council (EETC).
Tim Deitner (Kettering Fairmont) is now certified in 4-stroke gasoline engines, electrical systems and compact diesel systems. Tyler Grigsby (Greeneview) and Dillon Spaller (Greeneview) are certified in 4-stroke gasoline engines and compact diesel engines. Samuel Gier (Beavercreek) and Chase Morgan (Xenia) passed the 4-stroke gasoline engine certification examination as well.
The EETC certification tests are based on industry standards and are written and updated by a focused committee of manufacturers, distributors, dealers, schools, and associations. Certification tests are updated annually to ensure that the latest technologies are included.
