Information Technology

  • Program Profile
One of today's most dynamic career areas involves the multi-faceted Information Technology (IT) industry.  Greene County Career Center's IT lab is a world-class operation thanks to incredible equipment and an instructor with decades of experience.  Students gain the skills necessary to build, repair and troubleshoot computers, systems and software in addition to creating software, providing technical assistance and managing information systems.  Advanced on-the-job training and experiences through mentorships with local firms while earning high school credit heightens the program's value. The IT program is divided into specialties that students can explore and gain proficiency. This include information services and support, programming and software development/applications, network systems, A+ personal computer repair and troubleshooting, and network security administration.
