Scholarship Information

Students enrolled in the Biotechnology program, who complete two full years with a GPA of 2.25 or higher are eligible for a $3000 scholarship offered through Sinclair Community College.  Please note the following in regards to your scholarship.
  • The scholarship money may only be used at Sinclair.
  • The scholarship money may only be used within your pathway or other approved pathways. (SEE BELOW FOR A LIST OF THOSE)
  • The scholarship can be used for tuition and/or books.
  • The scholarship money is not available for developmental courses that students may test into based on the results of the accuplacer (Sinclair's Placement Exam).
  • Students have one year to access the scholarship from the date of graduation, i.e. May 2011 - May 2012, at which point it expires.
  • Students must be enrolled a minimum of 12 credits or more, or the scholarship will be pro-rated.
  • Students have 3 years to use the scholarship once the scholarship has been accessed.
  • Students must apply to Sinclair at the start of their Junior Year within the Tech Prep Program and are required to supply their SSN for access to the scholarship and articulated/proficiency credits.
  • Students must fill out a FASFA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form their senior year, and any state or federal grants that a student receives will be used before the scholarship is able to be used.
  • The scholarship is not refundable.

Biotechnology Juniors will be registering with Sinclair together as a group to ensure that the process is completed properly.  Below are the links and instructions that will be used to do this.
